The Human Resource Business Partner will be instrumental in keeping all things HR running seamlessly across the business
CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Dunedin-based HR Business Partner to join our clients on an upcoming contract requirement. This is a true generalist role where you’ll partner with leaders and teams across the business, providing practical, hands-on HR support and guidance across the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Dunedin based opportunity, we will not be considering remote or FIFO candidates for this position.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll work closely with managers to support a wide range of people matters, providing pragmatic HR advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll handle employee relations cases, including investigations and case management, support performance management and coaching plus contribute to recruitment and onboarding activities. You’ll play a pivotal role in change initiatives and organisational projects while ensuring policies are applied consistently and best practice HR approaches are embedded across the business.

ABOUT YOU:
You’ll be someone who works well with others, has great communication, and who can manage sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion. Sometimes we just need to roll up our sleeves to help others get stuff done – so you’ll harness your flexibility and can-do attitude to rise to the challenge, whilst being able to maintain your composure when you are under the pump. While this role has variety and lots of moving parts, there is also still a healthy balance with more routine tasks. 

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline or Human Resources or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in an HR BP role, covering the broad generalist spectrum of HR.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations within the business.
  • A can-do attitude with high levels of resilience.
  • Proven experience in handing ER issues and coaching & supporting managers.
  • High emotional intelligence in coaching interactions
