Foundry Trade Assistants – Engineering & Metal enthusiasts
Our client is a global leader in waterjet and vessel control manufacturing and have been operating in their Sockburn factory for 70 years. They have 500 employees worldwide and supply waterjets around the globe including military, ferries, fishing and rescue vessels.
They are seeking Foundry Trade Assistants to join their team in long term, ongoing roles. These roles suit people who are seeking entry-level engineering work, or those with a mechanical interest and experience using power tools.
In this role, you will process metal castings using grinders and other tools to remove sand moulds and refine, repair and finish the castings to ensure a high-quality finished product.
It is hands-on and physical work that requires a good level of physical fitness.

- Good attention to detail
- Ideally completed a pre-trade qualification or experience in an engineering environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proven metal work and power tool experience
