We are looking for a Boning Room Supervisor who will work in partnership with the Snr Boning Room Supervisor and be responsible for leading the Boning Room team to achieve required processing outcomes meet health and safety obligations maintain consistent quality standards and instill a culture to meet these responsibilities.

Crusader Meats is an innovative export meat processing company, seeks a Boning Room Supervisor for our Benneydale plant, 45 kms southeast of Te Kuiti.

Reporting to the Senior Boning Room Supervisor, the Boning Room Supervisor is responsible for leading the Boning Room team to achieve required processing outcomes meet health and safety obligations maintain consistent quality standards and instill a culture to meet these responsibilities. You will work closely with the Senior Boning Room Supervisor to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality meat processing, managing staff, maintaining compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards, and ensuring production targets are met in line with company and industry standards.

The boning room is a fast-paced, cold environment typical of meat processing facilities. Shift work may be required, including early mornings or weekends during peak season and the role can be physical requiring standing for long periods and occasional lifting.

We are looking for someone with:

* Proven experience in ovine boning, preferably in a leadership role within a Boning Room.

* An in-depth understanding of meat processing techniques, food safety and hygiene standards, compliance within the meat industry and workplace health and safety regulations.

* Demonstrated capability in leadership, communication, and team management skills

* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to seasonal production demands.

* Competency in using production management systems and reporting tools.

Desirable but not essential attributes include

* Relevant qualifications in meat processing or food safety

* Experience in boning and processing other species
