These roles are essential to maintain vine health, achieve production targets, and ensure safe and efficient orchard performance.

Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Te Puke, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $27 – $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day‑to‑day kiwifruit orchard operations and seasonal activities.
  • Monitor vine health, irrigation systems, and pest/disease conditions.
  • Allocate tasks and supervise orchard workers and seasonal staff.
  • Lead seasonal programmes such as pruning, thinning, canopy management, and harvest preparation.
  • Train staff in proper horticultural techniques and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain production records, orchard logs, and activity reports.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure fruit meets required standards.
  • Oversee safe use of tools, machinery, and orchard equipment.
  • Report progress, issues, and operational needs to management.
