The AMT Group is a locally owned group of companies based in Wigram, Christchurch, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. We proudly serve a broad portfolio of commercial clients throughout the South Island with branches also located in Dunedin and Invercargill.

The Opportunity:

Due to a growing workload across the South Island, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our Christchurch-based team.

Key Requirements:

  • Having a minimum of 5 years HVAC industry Project Management experience
  • Experience Project Managing multi-million dollar projects would be advantageous
  • Understanding of pipework, ductwork and refrigeration / air conditioning systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and pipework schematics
  • Interpretation of construction programs
  • Understanding the requirements of the NZ Building Code
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Foster and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, consultants, contractors and partners
  • Provide project assistance from procurement to final document submittal
  • Project resource planning
  • Ability to identify project variations and cost these
  • Experience in project financial management and cost to complete
