XT AUTOMOTIVE LIMITED is seeking two motivated Automotive Electricians to join our growing team in Auckland based. The successful candidates will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and electronic components in a wide range of motor vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing instruments
  • Repair and replace faulty wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, sensors, alternators, starter motors, and other electrical components
  • Install and service vehicle electrical accessories including alarms, immobilisers, GPS systems, lighting systems, audio equipment, and reversing cameras
  • Inspect, test, and maintain vehicle battery and charging systems
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and specifications
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electronic engine management systems and onboard computer systems
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Assist with general workshop duties as required

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant NZQCF Level 4qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Familiarity with modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems
  • A current driver licence is preferred
