Sheffield Steel Services Limited based in Manukau City, Auckland, is specialized in steel structural fabrication and welding work. We are looking for five fabricator welders to join our busy team.

You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region. This role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday. You may also be required to work on Saturdays, with total working hours of up to 60 hours per week.

This is a permanent full-time position, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $28.00 to $32.00, depending on the candidate’s experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Able to read and understand the GA drawing to determine materials requirements and task sequences

  • Understand the site safety rule and regulations

  • Excellent time keeping, working unsupervised

  • Display a positive team attitude towards the role and colleagues

  • Comply with company guidelines and policies that apply to this position.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  • At least two years of relevant experience in structural steel welding and/or fabrication

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role

  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
