- Job Title: Bookkeeper
- Location: Auckland, New Zealand
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
- Days Required: Monday to Friday
- Wage: 30 before tax
- Hours per week: A minimum of 30 hours a week guaranteed, a maximum of 40 hours a week

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and evaluating financial and student-related transaction records using computerised accounting and administration systems for the company’s educational service operations.
• Maintaining financial records and balancing accounts using accounting software to support the daily operations of international education and student service programmes.
• Monitoring cash flow, tuition fee payments, student refunds, and operational expenses to support the company’s education consulting and student support activities.
• Preparing financial statements, budgets, expenditure reports, and financial analyses using accounting software and financial management systems to assist business planning and operational decision-making.
• Preparing invoices, student payment records, service agreements, and processing bank deposits to ensure timely payments and accurate financial administration.
• Reconciling company accounts against monthly bank statements and resolving discrepancies related to tuition fees, agency commissions, and operational transactions.
• Verifying recorded financial transactions, identifying errors or irregularities, and reporting findings to management to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial operations.
• Assisting external accountants in preparing tax-related documents and financial reports, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, income tax reporting, and other compliance requirements relevant to the education service industry.
• Preparing and processing payroll, ensuring timely payment of employee wages and salaries, and filing payroll-related returns in accordance with New Zealand taxation and employment requirements.
To be right for this role and our organisation,you need:
- Relevant Level 4 qualification in Accounting, Accountancy, Bookkeeping, Finance etc. Or at least two years of relevant workexperience is required.(Either one will do)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB QuickBooks)and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies effectively
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
