As a Lead Painter, you will carry out high‑quality preparation and finishing work across residential and commercial sites. You’ll work closely with other trades, communicate with clients, and represent our company with professionalism and pride.

 

As a Painter, you will carry out high‑quality preparation and finishing work across residential and commercial sites Interior and Exterior. You’ll work closely with other trades, communicate with clients, and represent our company with professionalism and pride.

Tasks Involve

  • Surface preparation — scraping, sanding, cleaning, and removing prior materials

  • Plastering and filling — repairing holes, joints, and imperfections

  • Painting application — brushing, rolling, and spraying surfaces

  • Wallpaper installation and removal — applying and removing wallpaper with precision 

  • Material handling — using oil‑based, water‑based, varnish, stain, and sealant products

  • Wood finishing — staining and sealing timber surfaces

  • Mobile Scaffolding setup — erecting, using, and dismantling mobile scaffolding safely

  • Health & safety compliance — following all regulations and industry standards and using required PPE

  • Worksite standards — maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised workspace

  • Stock management - Purchasing, stock taking and reporting inventory levels to accounts.

  • Someone hardworking, dependable, and eager to grow
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • While experience is preferred, it is not required
  • Good time management and able to meet deadlines.
  • Commfortable being filmed and photographed on site for our a website and marketing. 
  • Full drivers license and reliable transport to get to and from site independently. 
  • Willing to travel throughout NZ for job opportunities and projects. 
  • NZ Citizden, resident or legally allowed to work in New Zealand. Documents will be required 
  • Police vetting and back ground check done prior to job acceptance.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish to communicate effectively with clients, team members, subcontractors, customers. 
  • Prior to job acceptance, all candidates are required to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug test.
