Our strong delivery in metering has led to increased opportunities, and we have successfully won a long term contract in the Hawkes Bay. We are currently recruiting Metering Technicians or Registered electricians for metering work in the Hawkes bay region to carry out the replacement and installation smart electricity meters and other retailer field service work.
Applicants must possess prior experience and competencies for carrying out electrical work. As a successful candidate, you will be motivated by achieving challenging targets and will be seeking a role where your initiative, productivity and strong work ethic is rewarded with opportunities for growth and advancement.
We are looking for recruits with either:
• NZ Electrical Registration, or
• Overseas Electrical Registration with New Zealand practical experience, or
• NZ Electrical (a minimum of 1 year of practical experience), or
• Overseas Electrical Registration and thus able to work towards New Zealand registration, or
• Metering experience in any capacity, which will be assessed and considered whether able to convert to NZ qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health & safety requirements

• Electrical installation (metering)
• Working on single and multiple phase electrical installations
• Following health and safety guidelines
• Using hand tools
• Working with handheld data recording devices
• Energy Industry experience

• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing random Drug and Alcohol testing.

• A full and valid New Zealand driver’s licence.

Wells is committed to growing our team and provides support and development opportunities to the electricians we employ. Typically, you will work a 40-to-45-hour week, (with guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week), with competitive hourly pay rates varying from $29.70 to $38.00 per hour dependant on Registration / Skills / Experience.
