TPM Plumbing Contracting Ltd is seeking competent plumber to join us in Auckland

You are required to work at least 30 hours per week, and should have minimum 2-year relevant work experience, or hold recognized NZQF qualification

We offer hourly wage rates ranging from Minimum $29 to maximum of $45 depending
on your skill and/or relevant work experience

Job tasks mainly include:

  1. Technical Plan Interpretation: Independently study and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications to determine the precise layout of plumbing systems and the types of materials required for the project.
  2. System Layout & Setting Out: Responsible for setting out and installing hot and cold water systems, including the integration of associated equipment such as hot water cylinders and solar heating components.
  3. Sanitary & Water Supply Installation: Design (under supervision) and install complex sanitary plumbing and water supply systems, ensuring correct gradients for discharge pipes and the proper fitment of sanitary fixtures.
  4. Infrastructure & Waste Management: Fabricate and install soil and waste stacks, as well as sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems.
  5. Excavation & Ground Support: Install below-ground drainage systems, including the management of associated ground support systems to ensure trench safety and pipe integrity.
  6. Mechanical Services: Assemble and install mechanical services plant, including air handling/conditioning equipment and small-bore heating systems.
  7. Gas & Componentry: Install and configure gas appliances, flues, and pressure-regulating devices (working under the supervision of a licensed Gasfitter where required).
  8. Metal Roofing & External Plumbing: Fabricate and install metal roofing, rainwater goods (gutters/downpipes), and flashings to ensure building water-tightness.
  9. Maintenance & Diagnostics: Carry out advanced maintenance, alteration, and repair work on residential and commercial plumbing systems, including the testing and identification of complex faults or leaks.
  10. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all plumbing work complies with the New Zealand Building Code and Health and Safety at Work Act, maintaining detailed records for the Certifying Plumber’s final verification.
