We are a transport company based in Wellington. We are looking for a full time class 2/4 truck driver in a permanent role for a minimum of 30 hours per week and maximum 40 hours per week. 

The wage rate is $25 per hour to $35 per hour.

You should have at least one year of relevant driving experience or a high school qualification. 

You should also have a NZ full driving license or an overseas license with the ability to gain a full NZ drivers license for the role. 

You should have forklift endorsement and Dangerous goods endorsement or the ability to gain the endorsement. 

The job responsibilities are 

Positioning vehicles for loading and unloading; 

Comfortable using lifting and tipping devices for loading and unloading;

Ensure safety requirements are met while loading and unloading vehicles; 

Making regular quality checks of the truck to ensure they are safe to drive; 

Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight; 

Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage; 

Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries.
