Construction Supervisor

Main tasks & responsibilities: 

• Delegating tasks to workers  
• Creating and monitoring schedules for each worker  
• Ensuring that work sites are clear of any hazardous materials prior to the 
  commencement of projects  
• Conducting team meetings with workers and outlining how tasks are to be carried out 
• Ensuring that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are procured in a time
  efficient manner 
• Coordinated materials, fittings, and finishing selections to support project quality and 
  purchaser requirements.  
• Monitored project progress and coordinated contractors and trades during construction stages.
• Creating and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers 
• Ensuring periodic maintenance and proper storage of construction equipment and 
  tools  
• Complying with Work, Health, and Safety regulations 

Requirements: 

• Applicants must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• Availability to work across Otago, Wellington and Canterbury is essential.
• Chinese language skills are preferred, as some of our workers, contractors, and vendors are Chinese-speaking.

What we offer:

$32-42 per hour (depends on your experience).

Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours a week, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
