About the role

We are a construction company in Auckland, now seeking 1 skilled and reliable Formworkers to join our civil construction team, for the projects across Auckland Region.,

This is a permanent full-time role and you will need to work from Mon to Sat (30 - 50 hours per week). 

You will be responsible for constructing and dismantling the molds used to shape concrete for a variety of structural elements, including foundations, walls, columns, beams, and slabs.

The ideal candidate will need to possess a strong understanding of carpentry tools, materials, and construction safety practices.

What you’ll do

  • Read and understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or site plans
  • Prepare project work procedure and determine dimensions and materials required
  • Coordinate with concrete workers to ensure successful pours and proper curing of concrete
  • Strip, clean, and maintain formwork systems after concrete has set
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure timely completion of tasks

What you’ll bring

  • At least two years of relevant work experience in the civil or construction industry, OR a Level 4 Certificate (or higher qualification) in construction or a related field.
  • Be a great team player and be able to follow instructions
  • Physical fitness and good hand-eye coordination
  • Regular and reliable attendance
