CINEVAN INTERNATIONAL LIMITED operates as an import and wholesale distribution business supplying a wide range of consumer products across New Zealand, including household items, toys, gifts, stationery, seasonal products, kitchenware, plastic ware, and general merchandise to retail stores and commercial customers.
Position Purpose
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s wholesale growth by developing and implementing marketing activities that strengthen product visibility, expand customer engagement, and promote the company’s imported product range across retail and commercial markets in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate marketing campaigns to promote the company’s imported consumer products, seasonal merchandise, and wholesale product lines to retail customers and business clients.
- Monitor customer purchasing trends, competitor activities, and product demand within the wholesale and retail market to support product positioning and sales planning.
- Work closely with management and sales teams to prepare promotional strategies for new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and special sales events.
- Create and manage marketing content for the company website, social media platforms, online catalogues, EDM campaigns, and promotional materials to improve customer engagement and brand awareness.
- Coordinate product displays, promotional materials, and showroom marketing activities to support wholesale customer visits and purchasing decisions.
- Analyse sales performance, customer feedback, and campaign outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with external suppliers, designers, advertising providers, and printing companies to ensure marketing materials and branding are professionally presented and delivered on time.
- Support the development of marketing strategies aimed at increasing wholesale customer accounts and strengthening long-term business relationships.
- Assist with maintaining product information, pricing promotions, and marketing databases to ensure consistency across online and offline sales channels.
- Conduct research into emerging consumer product trends and identify opportunities to expand the company’s product categories and target markets.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications, or a related field; alternatively, candidates without formal qualifications must have at least three years of relevant work experience in marketing, advertising or related industries.
- Strong understanding of consumer goods marketing.
- Experience in digital marketing, social media promotion, and online product marketing preferred.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse sales and market information to support business growth strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced wholesale business environment.
