Oceanix Yacht Care are looking for a boat washdown detailer and polisher, ideally with experience working on yachts.
This Role is Ideal for: Marine or superyacht crew between seasons, or looking for a couple of days/weeks/months work between offshore jobs, or even better, someone with hands-on detailing/polishing experience looking for a long-term career in this industry with Oceanix Yacht Care.
About the Company: Oceanix offers a premium boat care service, providing intensive detailing and valet services for yachts, powerboats, trailer boats, and high-end vehicles. Our work is fully mobile, and we operate across Tauranga Bridge Marina, Sulphur Point Marina, Tauranga Drystack, and on-site at various client locations in the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel. About the Role:
- Washing and detailing boats
- Using machines and high-end products for cut, polish, wax and applying surface protection
- Stainless steel, teak, and interior cleaning
- Oxidisation removal
- Engine room cleans
- Window treatments
- Applying ceramic protective coatings
- Supporting the Oceanix team with a range of mobile valet services
We're Looking For:
- Experience in boat washing, polishing, or detailing
- Someone physically capable, reliable, and comfortable using tools and working at heights
- A good eye for detail and pride in finishing work to a high standard
- Flexibility to work casual hours
- NZ Citizen/Resident, or valid Work Visa
- Full NZ Driver's licence preferred
- Based in Tauranga with reliable transport to get to work
- Flexible, casual ongoing work
