Our Marine Yacht Riggers are responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of yacht rigging systems including masts, standing rigging, running rigging, furling systems, and associated deck hardware. Working on a range of sailing vessels from small yachts to large offshore cruisers, the role involves tuning rigs, stepping and unstepping masts, wire and rope splicing, troubleshooting rigging issues, and ensuring vessels are safe and seaworthy.
In New Zealand, yacht riggers often work both in marinas and boatyards, with mobile onsite work common. The role requires a strong understanding of marine systems, safe working practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions. Experience with yacht maintenance, fabrication, and marine hardware brands is highly valued, along with good problem-solving skills and customer communication.
This job is for our Auckland location in Half Moon Bay AND/OR our Northland location at Marsden Cove.
