We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Plasterer to join our team. Starting pay offered from 28 to 35 hourly will be fixed according to the experience for 30 to 60 hours a week, however this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per above payrate. In his role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:
- Preparing, measuring, and cutting plasterboard (Gib) to fit walls and ceilings
- Fixing plasterboard sheets into position using adhesives, nails, or screws
- Applying jointing compounds and reinforcing tape to Gib board seams
- Skimming and smoothing surfaces to ensure a seamless finish
- Sanding and preparing surfaces for painting or wallpapering
- Patching and repairing damaged plasterboard
- Ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectation
- Performing other reasonable tasks as required by the leader.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Two years of experience in plastering, painting, or other on-site construction-related roles. Alternatively, a relevant qualification.
- Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Pre-employed drug tests and police check is required.
