We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Plasterer to join our team. Starting pay offered from 28 to 35 hourly will be fixed according to the experience for 30 to 60 hours a week, however this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per above payrate. In his role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:

  • Preparing, measuring, and cutting plasterboard (Gib) to fit walls and ceilings
  • Fixing plasterboard sheets into position using adhesives, nails, or screws
  • Applying jointing compounds and reinforcing tape to Gib board seams
  • Skimming and smoothing surfaces to ensure a seamless finish
  • Sanding and preparing surfaces for painting or wallpapering
  • Patching and repairing damaged plasterboard
  • Ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectation
  • Performing other reasonable tasks as required by the leader.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. Two years of experience in plastering, painting, or other on-site construction-related roles. Alternatively, a relevant qualification.
  2. Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
  3. Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  4. Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  5. Pre-employed drug tests and police check is required.
