We have a 6-month contract opportunity available for an Intermediate Java Developer to join our Christchurch based clients. The successful candidate will build impactful global applications as a Full-Stack Developer, owning features end-to-end in a collaborative, agile environment.
This is a Christchurch based opportunity, we will not be considering remote or FIFO candidates for this position.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll work across the full development lifecycle, delivering high-quality web applications that improve how customers and partners operate every day. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have real ownership, contribute to meaningful projects, and play a key part in delivering reliable, high-impact systems. You’ll also troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure system reliability and performance along with contributing to platforms used globally.
SKILL SET:
- Tertiary degree in a relevant field and 3+ years’ experience in web application development.
- Confident with Java & SQL databases.
- Experience working with modern front-end frameworks, specifically Angular.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- A clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders and teammates.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and contributing to team delivery.
