Experienced Painter

Location: Auckland region (various job sites), with occasional travel within the North Island (surrounding Auckland region).

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: $30 – $33 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, and sanding and sealing surfaces

• Selecting, mixing, and preparing paints and coatings

• Applying paints, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment

• Working on commercial, industrial, and residential painting projects

• Erecting and working from ladders and scaffolding as required

• Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas

• Handling and organising materials on-site

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of relevant painting experience in commercial, industrial, or residential environments

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and able to follow instructions

• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing

• Willingness to work on weekends (weather dependent)

• Reliable transport to travel to different job sites

• Good communication skills and professional presentation

• Two contactable work references
