As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards (but not limited to):
- Plant, water, weed, and fertilize garden beds, lawns, and other landscaped areas
- Prune and shape trees, bushes, and shrubs to maintain their health and attractiveness
- Monitor and identify pests and diseases, and apply treatments to prevent or control infestations
- Maintain garden tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored
- Maintain garden pathways, retaining walls, and other garden structures
- Maintain accurate records of all gardening activities, including planting schedules, fertilization routines, and pest management strategies
- Communicate with clients or property owners to understand their preferences and goals for the garden, and make recommendations as needed
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems and other watering equipment
- Monitor and manage soil health and make recommendations for soil improvement as necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Carry out any other duties as requested by the Managing Director
Qualification, Experience and Attributes Required
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
