Pohutukawa Cleaning & Property Maintenance Limited is a trusted provider of professional cleaning and property maintenance services, delivering high-quality solutions for residential and commercial properties across New Zealand.
We are currently looking for two experienced Painters to join our team. This is a full-time permanent role, and you will be working a minimum of 30 hours to a maximum of 50 hours per week.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the work required.
- Set up scaffolding, ladders and protective coverings before painting work begins.
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old paint or wallpaper, and filling cracks and holes.
- Mix and prepare paints to achieve the required colours and finishes.
- Apply paint, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Hang wallpaper and carry out minor repair work when required.
- Clean equipment and maintain a safe and tidy work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
To fit his position, you are required:
- At least one year of relevant work experience in the same field or
- NZQF relevant Level 4 qualification or above ( no specific major is required if you have a Bachelor’s degree or above).
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
- Be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests should need to be.
- Reliable, punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and with a clean criminal record.
