Pohutukawa Cleaning & Property Maintenance Limited is a trusted provider of professional cleaning and property maintenance services, delivering high-quality solutions for residential and commercial properties across New Zealand.

We are currently looking for two experienced Painters to join our team. This is a full-time permanent role, and you will be working a minimum of 30 hours to a maximum of 50 hours per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the work required.
  • Set up scaffolding, ladders and protective coverings before painting work begins.
  • Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, removing old paint or wallpaper, and filling cracks and holes.
  • Mix and prepare paints to achieve the required colours and finishes.
  • Apply paint, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
  • Hang wallpaper and carry out minor repair work when required.
  • Clean equipment and maintain a safe and tidy work area.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.

To fit his position, you are required:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in the same field or
  • NZQF relevant Level 4 qualification or above ( no specific major is required if you have a Bachelor’s degree or above).
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests should need to be.
  • Reliable, punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and with a clean criminal record.
