Job Salary : $28.00 - $31.50  

Working place: Auckland

Working hour per week: 30 - 50

We are an Auckland-based construction company specializing in residential carpentry work. Our main services include timber framing, decking, fencing, timber retaining walls, and other general residential carpentry projects. Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for delivering reliable workmanship, quality finishes, and efficient project completion for homeowners and builders across Auckland.

Due to the increasing project demand and the potential movement of the current staff, we are currently seeking several experienced carpenters to join our team. The successful candidates will play an important role in supporting our current and upcoming residential construction projects.

The role will include, but not limited to:

  • To study drawings and specifications to decide what materials to be used and relevant installation procedures

  • To cut materials with chainsaw, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts with tools such as drills

  • To repair exiting wood planks with chainsaw and electric planner

  • To establish the framework of structures

  • To erect framework and roof framing, lay floorboard and check the trueness of structures

  • To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

  • To assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

  • To cut wood joints with tools such as chainsaw

  • May construct concrete formwork

  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex and metals

  • Other duties may be reasonably required by the business owner or director

Job pre-requisites: 

  • At least 2 years full-time relevant experience (experience gained in the same industry can be considered as meeting the experience requirements)

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must

  • Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.

  • physically capable of performing heavy work be able to work overtime 

  • excellent work ethics and great time management passion for the industry.

  • The successful candidate must not have any criminal convictions
