The Cleaning Services Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and coordinating the cleaning and hygiene operations for businesses and individuals. The role ensures that cleaning services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to high standards of health, safety, and client satisfaction.
This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed.
As our business also operates in Gisborne, this role will require frequent travel to Gisborne as part of its duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily cleaning operations across sites.
Ensure cleaning schedules, methods, and service standards comply with client contracts and regulatory requirements.
Monitor quality of cleaning services and conduct regular inspections.
Recruit, train, roster, and supervise cleaning staff.
Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, support, and disciplinary action when necessary.
Implement health and safety training and ensure compliance with workplace standards.
Liaise with clients to understand requirements and manage service expectations. Prepare and manage service contracts, quotations, and proposals.
Maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise use of cleaning products, equipment, and labour.
Order, store, and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
Monitor and report on financial performance of cleaning operations.
Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
Keep up to date with industry best practices and new cleaning technologies.
Manage exisiting contracts and also work towards setting up new contracts of work.
Ensurie that the Businesses that we cater to are contacted to understand their future service requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
A relevant Diploma or equivalent qualification in business, management, tourism or hospitality is essential. OR
A bachelors qualification or higher in any discipline may be considered as meeting the requirements for this role considering the managerial nature of this role. OR
At least three years of relevant experience in cleaning operations management or a supervisory role can substitute the qualification requirements for this role.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and operational planning.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
A vaild drivers licence to travel with the team to work sites.
Note: As our business also operates in Gisborne, this role will require frequent travel to Gisborne as part of its duties. You will be compensated accordingly for any travel that is needed.
