JCR SERVICES LIMITED is looking for an experienced, motivated and hardworking individual who enjoys a hands-on role to join our Hawkes Bay-based team as a permanent Agri Chemical Spray Operator.

Applicants should ideally possess the following:

  • Previous 2-3 years of relevant experience operating sprayers and other machinery

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Have your own reliable transport and a full, clean NZ driver's licence (at least class 1) 

  • Horticulture industry knowledge/experience would be an advantage 

  • Be comfortable working independently and as a team player

  • Able to follow instructions 

  • Solid problem-solving skills and a positive attitude 

  • Good time management and organisational skills (able to prioritise!) 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

  • A clear understanding and awareness of safe work practices 

  • A reasonable level of physical fitness 

  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends when required, during our main spraying and harvest peaks.
