HG SYSTEMS (NZ) LIMITED is a well-established company experiencing rapid growth. To support our continued expansion, we are currently seeking Metal Fabricators and warmly welcome interested candidates to apply for the position.
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements for cutting materials and assembling doors and windows
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication, ensuring materials are ready for door and window production
- Perform electric welding and argon arc welding work as required
- Cut metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
- Shape and bend metal sections using hand and machine tools, or by heating and hammering, to form parts for doors and windows
- Assemble door and window frames by aligning and joining metal parts using welding, bolting, riveting techniques, and frame nailing methods
- Inspect welds to ensure proper width, penetration, and precision, maintaining high-quality fabrication standards
- Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and smoothing welds for final installation or use
- Perform repairs and maintenance on doors and windows, including structural repairs and frame replacement where required
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment

- Location: Auckland
- Job type: Full-time Permanent
- Pay rate: 27.00- 32.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
- Days required: Monday to Saturday (rosters may apply).
- Hours per week: At least 30
Job Requirement
- A minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a Bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in door and window fabrication
- Ability to work with various metal fabrication tools and machinery, including welding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Understanding of workshop safety procedures and safe operation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
