Position Overview

UniLink Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Operation Manager to lead the company’s POS hardware, software, and EFTPOS business operations.

This position will begin as a 3-month contract role. Candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, business development capability, and operational performance may transition into a permanent full-time General Manager position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding UniLink’s market presence, improving operational systems, managing supplier and customer relationships, and supporting future business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of UniLink Limited
• Manage and grow the company’s POS hardware and software business
• Develop sales and business growth strategies for EFTPOS and payment terminal solutions
• Coordinate with suppliers, resellers, and technology partners
• Support installation, deployment, and maintenance processes for POS and EFTPOS systems
• Manage customer relationships and after-sales service standards
• Work with technical teams to improve software and system integration
• Identify new business opportunities within retail, hospitality, and SME markets
• Supervise staff performance, workflow efficiency, and operational improvements
• Prepare management reports and business performance updates
• Assist directors with strategic planning and company expansion initiatives

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous management experience in POS systems, EFTPOS, payment solutions, retail technology, or IT services
• Strong understanding of payment terminals and merchant acquiring services
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or payment technology sectors preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong business development and relationship management capability
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operational tasks independently
• Technical understanding of POS software and hardware systems is highly regarded
• Experience working with New Zealand businesses and merchants preferred
