We are seeking a motivated and capable Retail Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum of 32 hours per week, on a weekly payroll.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high customer service standards, and supporting business growth.

Our product range includes both ambient grocery items and frozen products, supported by multiple warehouses, storage facilities, and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide genuine service and create a lasting impression with our customers.

2. Be a superstar in selling skills that contribute to the sales performance of the store.

3. Communicating with trucking companies, shipping lines,
customers and other M&S offices.

4. Processing stock and ensuring shelves are adequately stocked.

5. Follow up on customer inquiries, solve problems, and maintain strong customer   relationships.

6. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records within the store.

7. Take responsibility for visual presentation and cleanliness of the store.

8. Stockroom duties: Assisting with loading and unloading local deliveries and delivering customers' online orders.

9. Maintaining an effective knowledge of general product and product history.

10. Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed.

11. Perform any other job responsibility as requested by the store manager.

Candidate Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook), and point-of-sale systems
  • A valid Full driver’s licence without any restrictions.
  • NZ Register Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in business or management (or higher),
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Additional requirements

      1. Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

      2. Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer-focused industries is highly preferred.

      3. Understanding of the products being sold to assist customers effectively.

      4. Ability to stand for long periods and lift items if necessary.

      5. Handling cash and processing transactions accurately.

Remuneration
Hourly rate: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
