We are a leading paper bag manufacturing company that produces high-quality and eco-friendly paper bags for some of the largest NZ brands. We are looking for Machine Technicians to join our team in Taupo and help us meet the growing demand for our products.

Job Type: Full-time

As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • After installation, take responsibility for setting up, calibrating, and ensuring continuous operation of paper-bag machines
  • Adjust and fine-tune machinery, applying knowledge of sequences, controls, and material settings to achieve accurate and efficient production.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical faults and breakdowns, carry out repairs and replace worn components to restore efficiency.
  • Manage critical spare parts and components, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out regular servicing to optimize mechanical efficiency
  • Training factory workers in the safe and efficient use of machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor machine output to ensure products meet operational specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist with packing tasks as required to assist with production flow.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Following the company policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience of minimum two years, or relevant qualification (New Zealand or overseas) of diploma level or higher is acceptable
  • You must be physically fit and be able to report to work regularly and on time.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Good attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends.

Benefits of the Job:

  • Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week 
  • Overtime paid at hourly rate
