5 years of relevant experience is required to be suitable for this role or a relevant qualification at level 7 or above. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently to reach goals.
What does the role involve?
- Directing and coordinating multiple teams of workers who are undertaking tasks on our kiwifruit orchard sites.
- Handling any issues that arise within the teams, finding solutions to any issues (which may involve other senior staff as required).
- Reporting directly to the Management as required.
- Ensuring work is completed in a timely and effective manner to ensure company production goals are met and that they are completed to the required industry standards.
- Completion and running of toolbox meetings, Health & Safety briefings and all associated paperwork.
- Guiding the workers with operational involvement as required during harvest periods.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring a high standard of practice for all workers.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are reviewed regularly to ensure staff safety.
- Ensuring knowledge is kept up to date, implementing and making suggestions for new practices and techniques
- Lead the teams and instruct the workers to do the tasks as expected of them throughout the entire production cycles of the orchards.
- Maintaining a safe working environment and practices for all workers

This is a full-time permanent position based in the wider Bay of Plenty region requiring the successful applicant to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Pay rate starts at $34.00 per hour with the ability to increase to a maximum of $36.00 per hour depending on experience. The worksites for Tiwari Limited are based in and around the Bay of Plenty region, and as the role will require some travel, the successful applicant will have their own transport.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
