CHAHAL HORTICULTURE LIMITED is currently looking for reliable and hardworking Tractor Drivers to join its team in the Bay of Plenty region. The role involves operating tractors and agricultural machinery to support various horticultural activities across multiple work sites. The successful candidates will be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tractors and other agricultural machinery to support daily horticultural and orchard operations across multiple work sites.
- Prepare land and assist with cultivation, spraying, mowing, and harvesting activities using appropriate machinery and equipment.
- Attach, adjust, and safely use machinery implements and attachments as required for operational tasks.
- Load, unload, move, and transport produce, bins, equipment, and materials between orchards, storage facilities, and designated work areas.
- Use tractors, loaders, forklifts, and related machinery in a safe and efficient manner to support site operations.
- Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance, including monitoring fuel, oil, water, tyres, and general mechanical condition.
- Inspect tractors, machinery, and attachments before and after use to ensure they are operating safely and effectively.
- Report any machinery faults, damage, breakdowns, or workplace hazards to management promptly.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, site requirements, and safe operating practices at all times.
- Maintain records relating to machinery usage, servicing, maintenance, and completed daily tasks as required.
- Assist with general horticultural and orchard duties when required to support overall business operations.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be paid between $25 to $35 per hour.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience operating tractors or similar machinery.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Available to work weekends and early morning starts as required.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual and machinery-related tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a strong work ethic.
