About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plasterboard fixer and Stopper to join our team. As a Plasterboard Stopper, you will be responsible for fixing Gib and finishing and smoothing out plasterboard joints, corners, and edges to create a seamless surface for painting or further finishing.

Responsibilities:

• Fixing gib boards to a building code standard

• Stop and finish plasterboard joints, corners, and edges

• Apply and smooth out jointing compound and tape

• Sand and clean surfaces to a high standard

• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and productivity targets

• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality results

 

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in gib fixing or plasterboard stopping or a related trade

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Drywall Installation and Finishing) an advantage
