Nail technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform client consultations and recommend suitable nail and beauty services
• Remove old polish and prepare nails for treatments
• Clean, trim, and shape fingernails and toenails, including cuticle care
• Provide hand and foot massages as part of manicure and pedicure services
• Offer expert advice on nail care, product use, and design options based on client
  preferences
• Demonstrate strong technical skills in manicures, pedicures, gel polish, SNS dipping,
  acrylic application, and nail art
• Apply nail polish, airbrush designs, and various artificial nail types with precision
• Perform waxing services when required
• Maintain proper hygiene by sanitizing tools and work areas between clients
• Evaluate clients’ nail conditions and recommend appropriate treatments and services
• Build and maintain positive client relationships to encourage repeat business
• Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the employer

Pay rate

• Minimum $27/hour, maximum $29/hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week

• Permanent, fulltime, minimum 30 hours per week

Key requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Must be flexible to work on a rotating roster between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on
  weekdays, with extended hours until 7:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 10:00
  AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays, including public holidays
• No criminal record
• Hold a valid New Zealand work rights
