Truck Driver

We are looking for reliable, full-time and experienced Logging Truck Drivers to join our team in Tokoroa due to an increase in workload and new trucks arriving.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week. The pay rate is $33–$35 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport logs from forest skid sites to ports, mills, rail yards, or other destinations
  • Complete vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards
  • Follow industry regulations and company health and safety procedures
  • Ensure loads are secured and transported safely and efficiently

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 1 year of truck driving experience
  • A clean Class 5 NZ Driver Licence or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • A positive attitude and willingness to get the job done
  • Be physically fit, honest, punctual, and reliable
  • A good sense of humour and ability to work within a team
  • Forestry unit standards or willingness to work towards obtaining them

     

    A pre-employment medical assessment, criminal history check, drug and alcohol screening, and Toro licence check will be required.

    For the right applicant, we are also open to supporting progression from a Class 4 licence to a Class 5 licence, with full training and ongoing support towards relevant National Certificates.
