We are looking for Crane & Rig Operators to join the team.  

This is a full-time permanent role, with minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week, and an hourly rate between $42-$45, depending on skills and experience.

About the role:
You wil be based in Napier, but may also be required to work in Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Taranaki. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate.

Essential skills:

  • Safely and competently operate various types of cranes & rigs as required
  • Physically fit and meets health and medical criteria to undertake crane & rig operation activities as required
  • Follow instructions, directions, and the daily plan to achieve construction targets
  • Focuses on doing work to a high standard
  • Ensures cranes & rigs are maintained and fit for use before operating

The successful applicant will need:

  • At least 3 years operation experience on crane/rig operating 
  • Min 500 hours of operating cranes/rigs
  • Hold of full NZ or equivalent driver license
  • Certifications for crane / rig operation. Minimum NZ requirements must be met prior to operation
  • Holds or working towards appropriate for the class of Licence for machine operating
  • Current Site Safe Passport or capable of achieving it
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • A dedication to Health & Safety in the workplace and understands and practices the principles of zero harm
  • Understand and implement safe operating practices
  • Experience in foundations using drilling methods and crane/rig disciplines
  • Able to understand and follow multiple construction instructions and work independently
