Recovery & Renovations is looking for a Carpenter to assist with building, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden and related structures on residential and commercial sites. The role involves working under supervision to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Key Duties  

  • Read and follow basic construction drawings and instructions

  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials such as timber, plywood, and wallboard

  • Assist in building wall frames, ceilings, floors, and simple structures

  • Install doors, windows, and basic fittings like hinges and handles

  • Carry out repairs and replace damaged wooden parts

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely

  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite

Skills and Requirements  

  • Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction work

  • Ability to use tools and follow instructions

  • Good attention to detail

  • Physically fit and able to work on-site

  • Reliable and able to work in a team

Experience and Qualifications  

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant carpentry or construction experience, or

  • A relevant trade qualification (preferred but not mandatory)

Health & Safety  

  • Follow all site safety requirements in line with WorkSafe New Zealand

  • Wear PPE and follow supervisor instructions at all times
