Seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and distribution function. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently, and for leading the warehouse team to maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment.

Location: Auckland

Remuneration: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, checking for damage and discrepancies against delivery documentation
  • Unload deliveries and ensure goods are correctly labelled and stored
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation
  • Operate warehouse management systems to locate and manage stock
  • Conduct stock counts and cycle counts and assist with stocktakes
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Monitor warehouse productivity and implement improvements where required
  • Ensure customer orders are dispatched within agreed timeframes
  • Complete warehouse administration and operational reporting tasks
  • Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation
  • Coordinate with transport providers and suppliers regarding inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Lead and supervise the warehouse team on daily tasks, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure all team members follow warehouse procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean, organised and safe condition at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • A Level 3 certificate or above (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field; or at least 1 year of relevant experience in warehousing or logistics
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory-related tasks
  • Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks
  • Forklift licence preferred
