Job duties
- Offering excellent customer service throughout every client's visit to the salon
- Listening actively to understand what a client wants and making recommendations
- Providing hand and foot massages, applying moisturizer, and using paraffin wax treatments to soften skin
- Cleaning and shaping the client's fingers and toenails
- Removing old polish and preparing nails for services
- Filling, buffing, and shaping the nail to promote healthy cuticle growth
- Providing nailcare services, such as manicures, pedicures, sns, acrylic or gel extensions, and nail art
- Using small tool and attention to detail to paint intricate artistic designs on clients' nails
- Recommending nail polish colors or new products, such as shellac rather than traditional polish
- Teaching clients about healthy nail care practices and suggesting suitable products or regular services
- Ensuring client comfort by asking about their preferences, such as water temperature when soaking feet
- Addressing customer concerns and resolving issues or complaints if they arise
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling cash, and processing card payments
- Managing the inventory of nail polish colors and tools and reordering as necessary
- Sterilizing equipment carefully to ensure excellent hygiene and client safety
- Following trends and learning new techniques to offer more diverse services
- Collaborating with other nail technicians, receptionists, and other service providers in the same workplace
- Any other duties the employer reasonably may require the employee to perform
Pay rate: minimum $29.66/hour - maximum $32.00/hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum of 30 hours per week, maximum of 60 hours per week.
Requirements for the job
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Full time availability, able to work on late nights, weekends and public holidays
- No criminal record
- Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
