About the Role

AIS BOP Limited is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolder to join our team in Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding structures across a range of construction and industrial sites. You will play a key part in ensuring safe working environments for all on-site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

       Erect, alter, and dismantle tube-and-coupler, system, and modular scaffolding structures in accordance with site requirements and safety standards.

       Read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scaffolding requirements.

       Inspect scaffolding components for defects, damage, or wear prior to use.

       Ensure all scaffolding is erected, modified, and dismantled safely and in compliance with relevant New Zealand regulations and codes of practice.

       Install edge protection, handrails, toe boards, and other safety features as required.

       Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate scaffolding works.

       Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, alterations, and handovers.

       Follow safe work practices and participate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and inductions.

       Load, transport, and handle scaffolding equipment safely.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

       Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Scaffolder in commercial, industrial, or construction environments.

       Demonstrated ability to erect and dismantle a range of scaffolding types safely and efficiently.

       Sound knowledge of New Zealand health and safety requirements relevant to scaffolding.

       Ability to read and interpret site plans and scaffolding drawings.

       Physically fit and able to work at heights.

       Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

       Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred (not essential):

       NZ Scaffolding certificate or trade qualification.

       Current first aid certificate.

       Full NZ driver’s licence.
