We are seeking experienced Hammerhands to support construction projects across Bay of Plenty.
This role is suited to workers with construction site experience who can work independently and complete tasks accurately.

Key duties include:
  • Reading and interpreting basic construction drawings and work instructions
  • Measuring, marking, and preparing materials accurately
  • Carrying out construction tasks independently and to required standards
  • Assisting with framework, formwork, and structural preparation
  • Supporting trades with semi-skilled construction work
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely and competently without direct supervision
  • Completing assigned work with limited supervision
  • Maintaining high Health & Safety standards and participating in toolbox meetings
Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ construction site experience (hammerhand / skilled labourer level)
  • Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings and instructions
  • Strong competency using hand and power tools independently
  • Proven ability to carry out construction tasks safely with limited supervision
  • Good understanding of construction site processes and workflow
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness
  • Site Safe certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Role details:
  • Pay rate: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
  • Location: Bay of Plenty
  • Employment type: Ongoing / full-time
