We have full time opportunities for drivers in Hawkes Bay region. You will be required to work between Monday-Sunday for minimum 30 hours to maximum 45 hours. You may require working on public holidays. We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to our organisation, willing to assume responsibility, and able to independently manage and deliver on their duties.

Role responsibilities:

§  Need to pack orders for bread, milk and meat for customers.

§  Drivers are to drive appropriate truck into loading and unloading the products in accordance with OSH Health and Safety procedures as stated by Manager in Employment Contract.

§  To operate the trucks in a safe and responsible manner when driving, loading and unloading.

§  Drivers are to wear relevant safety clothing and uniform as stated by Manager.

§  Pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and rigid time schedules.

§  Once the product is loaded on the truck the Driver must commence deliveries in accordance with the Run Sheets provided by Manager. Delivery times and customers order must be adhered to, as stated on Run Sheet. Any long-term changes must be discussed with Manager first.

§  To be able to carry out routine checks of the vehicle.

§  Delivers are expected to maintain a respectable appearance at all times and conduct themselves in a manner that is reflection of the Managers core values as such manners, trust, friendly service and reliability.

§  Have excellent interpersonal skills committed to customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe and timely manner

§  Swaps are not allowed. Each driver is expected to process credits for customers on each visit. All credit notes must accompany correct codes and customer Name and numbers. These should be returned to the Employer on a weekly basis.

§  If any linehaul delivery is required outside the region, the driver will be expected to travel to the designated location. Where an overnight stay is necessary, accommodation / food will be provided by the company

§  Must be physically fit and able to lift 25-30 kg if necessary.

Job Requirements:

·       A clean driver license of Class 1 or equivalent License is essential with no history of traffic violations.

·       Must be able to work on rotational shifts (Day & Night)

·       Must be physically fit

·       A positive attitude and great work ethic

·       Zero Tolerance of alcohol and drugs in the workplace

·       Clean Character Background

·       Commitment to following health and safety policies.

·       Random Drug tests may require time to time.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $35 per hour.
