Nail & Beauty Technician 

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nail & Beauty Technician to join our team. The success of our business has been built on the impeccable work and great customer service. Each beauty care session is an opportunity to make a memorable impression, so we’re looking for someone that can provide both stunning work and hospitable services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in gel polish manicures/pedicures, nail extensions and eyelash tinting & curling. You’ll be working one-on-one with clients in private spaces, so it’s important that you’re comfortable with small talk and can make them feel at ease.

The ideal candidate will have

Technical skill

• At least 2 years of relevant experience

• Skills in gel polish manicures and pedicures, nail extensions and basic nail arts

• Dipping powder and advanced nail arts design skills

• Good knowledge and use of chemicals for nail & eyelash treatments

• Eyelash tinting & curling skills

• Adopt a perfectionist attitude and perform each treatment to their highest standards

• Follow safety protocols, including instrument and equipment sanitation

Customer service

• Deeply care about clients and want to make them feel at home

• Strong communication skills and comfortable with one-on-one conversations

• Bringing the heartiest principles to service offerings and sensitive to other cultures

Attitude

• Proactive and can work under minimum supervision

• Energetic with a positive can-do attitude.

• Willing to step up to challenges and make an effort to meet them

Tasks & responsibilities

• Analysing nail or eyelash characteristics and advising on suitable beauty care related treatments to clients using good knowledge of specialised treatments and products

• Booking client appointments

• Carrying out nail and beauty care related services

• Decorating and designing on clients’ nails (nail art)

• Performing eyelash tinting, perming, and lifting (curling).

• Shaping eyebrows and applying extensions

• Providing additional skin and facial treatments as necessary

• End of day records and stocktakes

• Referring clients to health professionals regarding skin or nails diseases and problems

• Building relationships and bringing new clients

• Massaging clients' hands and feet

• Providing advice on beauty care and relevant treatments and product selling

What we offer

• Hourly pay rate at $25 - 35 depending on individual skills and experience

• Flexible working hours

• Training and upskilling where you want to develop further

This is a permanent and full-time (minimum 30 hours/ week) role, overtime shifts are available based on business needs. The job location is Tauranga New Zealand.
