At Ski Roofing we are looking for a full time Roofers to install, repair, and maintain a variety of roofing systems, including performing leak repairs and full roof installations, while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork throughout the Auckland region. You will be required to work in various locations throughout Auckland from Monday to Saturday with minimum of 30 hours to maximum of 45 Hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

-            Follow project plans, safety protocols, and instructions to complete roofing jobs to high standards.

-            assessing project requirements, measuring areas, understanding design details, and ensuring that the correct materials are selected and available to complete the work efficiently and in accordance with project standards and client expectations

-            Set up ladders, scaffolds, and hoists correctly to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of materials to roofs.

-            Load, unload, and transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment safely around the job site.

-            Run the waterproof sheet down toward the eave edge, provide drainage into the gutter, secure the sheet, keep the membrane taut, protect against wind uplift, and protect against wind uplift.

-            nailing and stapling roofing underlay to roofs;

-            aligning starter rows of roofing material with edges of roofs, securing with wire, staples and nails, and overlapping successive layers of tiles;

-            sizing and cutting roofing material to fit around vents, chimney edges, corners and ridges; fixing edge and ridge tiles in cement mortar;

-            Slide the roofing material underneath the pre-installed flashing.

-            Nail the roofing material securely in place.

-            Seal exposed nail heads with roofing caulk or flashing to help prevent water leaks.

-            Perform emergency leak repairs and general maintenance across various types of roofs to protect structures.

-            Remove and lay roofing materials accurately and efficiently to ensure quality and durability.

-            Supervise assistants and other related site staff to complete roofing tasks effectively.

-            Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment to promote a safe working environment.

-            Take responsibility for the care and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.

 

Job Requirements:

-            Should have at least 1 year of relevant industry work experience or a qualification level 4 or higher qualification in any stream

-            Should have ability to work confidently at heights

-            Have a good work ethic and reliability

-            Ability to work within a diverse team and be an active motivated member of the team.

-            Must be physical Fit

-            knowledge of health and safety regulations, including the proper use of safety equipment.

-            You may require work on weekends

-            Clean Character Background

-            Zero Tolerance of Drug during work hours

-            Must be adaptable and able to cope with a variety of situations.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 to $35 per hour.
