Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Drum Teacher to join our music education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality drum lessons to students of different ages and skill levels, helping students develop musical techniques, rhythm skills, and performance confidence.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Planning and delivering drum lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. 

  • Teaching rhythm, timing, drum techniques, music reading, and performance skills. 

  • Preparing lesson materials and adapting teaching methods according to students’ abilities, learning styles, and learning goals. 

  • Demonstrating correct drumming techniques and supervising practical exercises. 

  • Assessing students’ progress and providing constructive feedback to support their musical development. 

  • Preparing students for performances, competitions, examinations, recitals, and other musical events were required. 

  • Recording students’ performances and assisting with the preparation of practice, assessment, and promotional materials, including performance videos. 

  • Maintaining accurate student records, attendance records, and lesson progress reports. 

  • Communicating with students and parents regarding lesson progress, performance expectations, and scheduling matters. 

  • Assisting with music workshops, rehearsals, concerts, and promotional activities as required. 

  • Tuning, maintaining, inspecting, and performing routine care of drum kits and related percussion equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition. 

  • Maintaining a positive, safe, and professional learning environment while complying with the organization’s policies and teaching standards.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant teaching or performing experience 

  • Qualification in relevant field is preferable but not a must

  • Strong drum performance skills and music knowledge 

  • Ability to teach students from various age groups and cultural backgrounds 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Reliable, patient, and passionate about music education
