SARVOPARI LIMITED T/A INDUS TRADING is a growing wholesale and distribution business committed to providing quality products and excellent service to our customers. We are seeking TWO reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistants to support our warehouse operations and ensure accurate receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.

Location:  Auckland, New Zealand

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

About the Role

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The position involves receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming goods and deliveries, inspect products for damage, and verify quantities against delivery documentation and invoices.
  • Unload delivery vehicles, open packages, and safely move goods to designated storage locations.
  • Operate computerised inventory systems to record stock movements, check stock availability, and update inventory records.
  • Label products and goods with storage location details and stock identification information.
  • Pick, pack, weigh, wrap, and prepare customer orders for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
  • Check goods against picking lists and customer orders to ensure accuracy before dispatch.
  • Assist with loading outgoing goods onto delivery vehicles and ensure dispatch documentation is completed accurately.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other approved materials handling equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with stocktakes and inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies, damaged stock, or inventory issues to management.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Safely stack, store, and rotate stock to maximise warehouse space and ensure product integrity.
  • Follow company policies and procedures relating to warehouse operations, workplace health and safety, and quality control.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Must have one year of relevant experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or distribution environment, However, a NZQF Level 2 qualification can substitute the requirement of experience.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and work with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory or stock management systems.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
