Philips Search & Rescue Trust (PSRT) is the charity responsible for fundraising and promoting the North Island’s largest network of community rescue helicopters. They engage and inspire the people of Aotearoa New Zealand to support a service that saves lives every day.

We’re looking for an energetic Community Fundraising & Event Coordinator who thrives on connecting with people, inspiring supporters and bringing events and partnerships to life.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Marketing, you’ll play an important part in growing and supporting PSRT’s network of corporate supporters, schools, clubs and community organisations.

You’ll coordinate fundraising activations and campaigns, manage key supporter connections, host engaging experiences, and help develop partnerships that increase awareness and generate vital funding.

A Typical Day:

  • Meeting with local businesses and community organisations to explore partnership and fundraising opportunities
  • Coordinating and hosting rescue helicopter base tours and visitor experiences
  • Assisting schools, clubs and individuals with community-led fundraising initiatives
  • Organising logistics for open days, networking functions and public activations
  • Working alongside suppliers, venues and external stakeholders to deliver seamless events
  • Monitoring fundraising activity, maintaining supporter records and compiling reports
  • Delivering exceptional supporter care that reflects PSRT’s values and donor-focused approach
