Position Title: Indoor Crop Production Leading Hand
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Pokeno, Waikato
Pay Rate: $30 – $36 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • 2 yearrs of work experience OR level 4 qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage indoor crop production activities across the full crop lifecycle.
  • Monitor plant health, growth conditions, and production outputs within a controlled environment.
  • Manage irrigation systems, nutrient delivery, and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, lighting).
  • Ensure production processes meet quality, efficiency, and business targets.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and biosecurity standards in indoor growing areas.
  • Identify and manage pest, disease, and crop performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, crop cycles, and operational activities.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and indoor farming systems safely.
  • Assist in developing and improving indoor production processes and systems.
  • Support future coordination and guidance of production tasks as staffing increases.
