We are looking for experienced PDI service technicians (who are
qualified to work in NZ) to join the team.
The role is permanent full-time, with a guaranteed hours of 40 hours per week with
overtime available.
Your salary package will include competitive hourly rates ranging from NZ$38 up to NZ$50 per
hour depending on skill level plus tool allowance and matched KiwiSaver (if you are eligible).
We provides you with extensive training to develop your understanding of our equipment. The uniforms will also be provided.
Key Tasks:
The purpose of these roles is:
- To provide high-quality trades skills to ensure equipment is prepared to the customer’s
requirements and Komatsu’s high standards. - Perform trade related tasks on earthmoving equipment.
- Provide Skilful and Effective Machine diagnostics and repairs.
- Testing and adjusting of machine operating and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment.
- Organise and complete all necessary job and work site paperwork.
Region of work
You will be based in Auckland. But may be required to travel around New Zealand from time to time to meet project requirements, such as assisting in the rebuilding and servicing of machines. We will cover the costs of travel expenses.
To be qualified, you must have:
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience preferably in a PDI service role.
Qualified Plant Mechanic or overseas equivalent in absence of required work experience. - Ability to obtain Class 1 driver’s licence, Class 2 (heavy transport) preferable, or overseas equivalents.
- Ideally to have NZ machinery experience.
- Ideally to hold Heavey Diesel Machinery qualification.
- Extensive Knowledge of repair and maintenance of Heavy Earthmoving Equipment and Componentry.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service and commitment to safety.
- Ability to travel to assist in rebuilding and servicing / maintenance of machines.
