Position Overview
Job Title: Business Improvement Manager
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Remuneration: $75,000-$85,000

 

Position Purpose
As the Business Improvement Manager, you will hold a specialized operational and analytical role within our organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Workflow Diagnostics: Reviewing end-to-end insurance administrative workflows to identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-drivers.

BPO & Systems Redesign: Planning the transition of back-office tasks into a secure, cross-border virtualized service model (using VMware) to establish encrypted connectivity with global carrier portals and achieve a significant reduction in operating costs.

SOP & KPI Implementation: Authoring and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deploying KPI tracking frameworks to support the deployment of new commercial insurance lines (including Truck, HOA, and P&C).

Compliance Integration & Training: Cooperating with external compliance consultants to embed Financial Markets Authority (FMA) conduct expectations directly into internal workflows, and conducting training workshops to upskill frontline Financial Advisers.

 

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field, including but not limited to: insurance brokerage, business process improvement, BPO workflow design.
  • Familiarity with financial/insurance compliance frameworks is preferred.
