Bestcoder is an international education institution specializing in programming and robotics for young learners. With campuses in North Shore, East Auckland, and Central Auckland, we provide structured and professional programs for students aged 6–18, covering Scratch, Roblox, Python, C++, robotics engineering, artificial intelligence, and international competitions. To support our growing business, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee full company financial operations.
Main duties of this role:
• Collaborate with the directors to develop, implement, monitor and conduct regular reviews of organisational budgets and strategic financial policies in line with the company’s operational targets.
• Analyze core financial KPIs to benchmark overall business performance and quantify funding requirements for curriculum R&D and digital platform development initiatives
• Establish, refine and oversee end-to-end operation of corporate accounting systems while designing internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks
• Lead the compilation, review and validation of P&L statements, balance sheets and forward-looking profit forecasts for senior management decision-making
• Conduct rigorous financial appraisal for all capital expenditure applications and complete financial feasibility assessment on proposed investment projects
• Provide authoritative strategic financial advice covering corporate investment planning, fundraising strategy formulation and annual post-tax profit distribution planning
• Develop multi-year long-term profitability projections, consolidate group-wide annual budgets and prepare regular formal management accounting reports
• Track updates of New Zealand financial legislation and accounting standards to ensure full statutory compliance across all corporate financial transactions
• Oversee company-wide cash flow forecasting and ongoing monitoring, full end-to-end lifecycle management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, together with governance and oversight of monthly payroll administration
Pay rate: Minimum $40.00 / hour - Maximum $49.00 / hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 30 hours
Requirements for the job:
• Hold a bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Be available for full-time employment.
• Strong cross-team communication with teaching and R&D departments
• Have no criminal record.
